Awnell's Farm

220 acres
Orchards and grassland farm

This 220-acre grassland farm is situated in some of Herefordshire’s most beautiful countryside. The land and farm buildings, which include the cattle yards at Street and Redlands farms, were made over to the Trust by a deed of gift from David Powell in 2000.

David has retained the right to continue living and farming Awnell's Farm for as long as he wishes. The farm has a closed herd of traditional Hereford cattle with an ancestry dating back over 170 years. A wonderful orchard includes many old cider apple trees, some of which are 300 years old, making this an especially important farm.

Did you know, butterflies normally fold their wings vertically over their backs while most moths hold their wings horizontally when at rest?

Join our Herefordshire Wildlife Monitor Ruth Moss for our Moths and muffin morning, where you can learn all about the amazing moth.

Ruth will set some traps the night before at our Awnells Farm and open them with you in the morning to discover what is inside to identify.

Tea, coffee and muffins will be available and you will you will receive a CRT pack to take away, along with a spotters guide to help you continue your new found skills when you return home.

Book early, we have a very limited number of tickets available!!

If you have any questions contact Sarah Wilberforce our Events Manager Here or by calling 01223 262999.
