How we work

We are a charity with a wealth of knowledge and passion for farming with wildlife and the countryside.

As a charity we work hard to manage our activities effectively, efficiently and transparently so you can understand the vital work we do.

After years of tremendous growth, in 2019, CRT Trustees decided on a strategy to make the CRT fit for purpose. We want to make sure the Trust has a bright future.

In the 18 months since the strategy was implemented, we have made these improvements:

  • Rebranding CRT, so our colours reflect those visible in wildlife
  • Upgrading our infrastructure; moving towards a paperless office using a cloud-based system to make administration more efficient
  • Embracing new technology to improve internal communications between farmers, volunteers and staff
  • Introduction of new Health and Safety procedures
  • Recruitment of a Volunteer Manager and a Conservation Manager
  • Launch of a new Education Programme to engage wider audiences

We look forward to creating a new strategy in 2021, which will lead us into our 30th anniversary.
