To date, our excellent volunteers have:

  • Monitored 100s of species – everything from birds, bees, butterflies, to native rare weeds, interesting plants and animals – everything that chooses to make its home on CRT properties.
  • Stuffed 1000s of letters of correspondence and copies of The Lark into envelopes to be sent to our members.
  • Cleared approximately 6500 sq/m of invasive vegetation at Green Farm.
  • Removed redundant barbed-wire fencing and planted 700m of mixed hedging at Pierrepont Farm.
  • Cleared invasive rhododendron from over 25 acres of broadleaf woodland at Pierrepont Farm.
  • Made and installed over 80 nest boxes of various types at Pierrepont Farm, which has been occupied by blue tits, great tits, nuthatches, redstarts, barn owls, mandarin ducks and stock doves.
  • Prepared the sites and assisted on the farm open days at Lark Rise, Pierrepont, Twyford, Green Farm, Turnastone, Margaret Wood and Mayfields.
  • Assisted on the stands at a variety of different fairs and shows across the country.
  • Made grant-sponsored replacement barn owl boxes for Lark Rise Farm.
