06 November 2020

Once again, the safety of staff, volunteers and tenants are our priority. Employees and volunteers are being kept up to date with the latest advice and information to ensure their good health and wellbeing.

Following the Government guidelines, we have put plans in place to ensure we can continue our vital work. We will be monitoring this throughout this second national lockdown and will amend our response accordingly.

As it stands in line with the current Government guidelines, our offices and sites will be closed from Thursday 5th November to Wednesday 2nd December. (This may change dependant on government guidance)

All staff will be working remotely but are available to help with enquiries.

  • We have postponed our events until further notice.
  • We have suspended all education visits to our farms and will not be taking any new bookings until further notice.
  • We can continue socially distanced volunteering work on our properties*

We are assessing the situation daily in accordance with the Government’s guidance.

*Update 06 November 2020

We have reviewed the latest guidance from the Government and are pleased to state that we are able to continue socially distanced volunteering work on our properties.

The Government has stated that people can leave their homes “to provide voluntary or charitable services, where you cannot do this from home.” (Coronavirus restrictions).

The Government also states that “you are allowed to meet others from outside your household or support bubble in larger groups, but this should not be for socialising,” which includes work, voluntary or charitable services.

A full list of these circumstances can be found in the regulations.

The latest government information and advice on coronavirus can be found on the Department for Health and Social Care’s website.

We are prepared to extend this way of working if the national lockdown continues further into December
