Education is at the heart of the CRT. We are passionate about providing young people with learning experiences which re-connect them with nature and foster a lasting love and understanding of our wonderful countryside. We offer full and half day school visits for 1 class (approx. 30) primary school children per day on our educational farms.
Opened spring 2020 our newest educational property in the heart of Herefordshire’s Golden Triangle offers a range of learning sessions, typically with a focus on food production and cultivation.
Turnastone Court Farm is a rural idyll with breathtaking views at every turn. The farm is home to a flock of Texel sheep and a herd of Hereford cows who graze in over 200 acres of permanent pasture. A large orchard, showcasing an abundance of fruit varieties is nestled next to a beautiful education lodge. The lodge courtyard houses an impressive kitchen garden brimming with fruits, vegetables and herbs.
A visit to Turnastone Court Farm is an exciting way to kick start a new topic and inspire young minds. The Mosaic programme brings to life the curriculum and supports learning in schools. As your Education Officer at Turnastone, I look forward to offering you a warm welcome on your arrival.
