Raising money in someone's memory is a way of honouring their life and help the countryside at the same time. We’re especially touched to receive these donations.
In memory donations are a very personal thing. Donating in memory can be a lasting tribute. Your donations can help us produce a place alive with wildlife where people can come and remember fond memories for many years to come. Thank you for thinking of The Countryside Restoration Trust and to help us to restore a living, working countryside.
Your friends and family may not donate to the CRT in your memory unless they know it is what you want. Please remember to tell them now!
Donations have made a huge difference to our work, helping us to acquire and manage land, promote wildlife-friendly, environmentally sensitive food production, develop conservation initiatives and ensure our rural heritage is kept vibrant for future generations. On this web page, you can donate in memory of someone anonymously or you can leave a public dedication to them. Our farms are havens for wildlife and can only be described as ‘alive’. If you love the countryside and wildlife donating in someone’s memory to the CRT is a way of ensuring it will be cared for and memories continue to fly forever.
You can also donate by sending a gift from a funeral. Many of our supporters wish not to have flowers at their funeral, and instead have a collection that goes towards a good cause like the CRT.
Most funeral directors will arrange this for you and will help you by collecting all donations and forwarding them straight to us. Please make sure you let them have our address (The Countryside Restoration Trust, Birds Farm, Haslingfield Road, Barton, Cambridge, CB23 7AG) and ask for cheques to be made payable to Countryside Restoration Trust.
We can provide donation envelopes for people to make donations at funerals if this is easier for everyone. If donation envelopes are used, where appropriate we are able to reclaim gift aid on the donation, increasing the value by 25%.
If you choose to organise donations yourself please ask people to send cheques (we do not recommend sending cash through the post) made payable to Countryside Restoration Trust to Birds Farm, Haslingfield Road, Barton, Cambridge, CB23 7AG. Please be sure to let us know who the next of kin is so we can thank them once all the donations have been collected.
