Himilayan Balsam BashingOur Conservation Volunteers are at the very heart of the CRT’s conversation efforts, restoring tired and forgotten parts of land into a thriving landscapes where flora and fauna flourish.

As a Conversation Volunteer, you will be getting ‘down and dirty’ planting trees, hedges and wildflowers and constructing bat/bird boxes to provide habitats for wildlife! You can also help maintain these habitats through invasive weed control (e.g. ragwort/bracken/balsam) and ditch clearance.

Other manual site maintenance tasks may involve dry stone walling, building & repairing gates and fences, restoring and maintaining access paths and preparing the farm for events.
