Conservation Volunteer Our Conservation Volunteers are at the very heart of the CRT’s conversation efforts, restoring tired and forgotten parts of land into a thriving landscapes where flora and fauna flourish. As a Conversation Volunteer, you will be getting ‘down and dirty’ planting trees, hedges and wildflowers and constructing bat/bird boxes to provide habitats for wildlife! You can also help maintain these habitats through invasive weed control (e.g. ragwort/bracken/balsam) and ditch clearance. Other manual site maintenance tasks may involve dry stone walling, building & repairing gates and fences, restoring and maintaining access paths and preparing the farm for events. Main conservation volunteering groups are led from: Lark Rise Farm, Cambridgeshire Pierrepont Farm, Surrey Turnastone Court Farm, Herefordshire Twyford Farm, West Sussex Mayfields Farm, Norfolk Margaret Wood, Yorkshire Green Farm, Surrey Register your interest Want to help but cannot volunteer: Please select a donation amount (required) £5 Is the approximate cost per pair of gloves.
