CRT Trustee

Chris Knights has a wealth of farming experience and believes passionately in bringing farming and wildlife together. Throughout his years working as a farmer, he managed his 1300 hectares of mostly arable land in a wildlife-friendly manner and did wonders for stone-curlew populations.

His passion for the natural world led him to become an award-winning wildlife photographer and film maker. In the 1990s he made a film about stone-curlews called “Stone Runners” for the Survival ITV series. Since his retirement, Chris concentrates on still photography. His photography has been widely published, including in many CRT publications and has won many awards including British Birds magazine's 'Bird Photographer of the Year' three times.
