Mosaic Education at Mayfields Farm

In light of the ever changing situation regarding the Covid-19 outbreak and following the Government advice, we have limited education visits to this farm.

Mayfields is the perfect place for farming and wildlife education

We are passionate about providing young people with learning experiences which re-connect them with nature and foster a lasting love and understanding of our wonderful countryside.

Mayfields is a 40 acre smallholding which is home to sheep, goats, horses, sheepdogs, guinea pigs and a tortoise, to name but a few.

The farm also benefits from a small wooded area, two ponds a raised bird hide plus a red squirrel breeding enclosure.

If the weather takes a turn, we have an indoor classroom.

Group Sessions

The activities at Pierrepont are led by Sarah Jenkins. Not only is Sarah a CRT Education Officer, she is also the tenant farmer of Mayfields Farm. Sarah took on the role of Education Officer at Mayfields in early 2019 – teaching local school kids about food production, animal sciences and other relevant subjects.
