A note from Robin Page, conservationist and Chairman of the Countryside Restoration Trust, to you.
In a world of uncertainty , the Countryside Restoration Trust and I are welcoming everyone to join our online community
We want to provide positivity and encourage mental wellness in those who are self-isolating, by bringing the outdoors, indoors, to provide a little spark of joy and happiness through the ‘Colours of the Countryside’.
Over the coming period, the CRT’s digital platforms will offer some escapism – providing daily snippets of what you can hear and see in the British countryside, whether you’re in the city, town or the country.
Each day we will provide something new for you, whether it’s the sound of the countryside or something to do in your garden or a new nugget of knowledge you didn’t know about our native wildlife.
We want your involvement too – share your view from the window, or what’s happening in your garden as spring’s inevitable rejuvenation takes place. Perhaps you could share the sound of a bird you always hear at home, but can’t quite identify. Someone else may be able to!
You may be on your own or away from your family physically, but the CRT is here for you on the end of your laptop, phone or tablet. Head to our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages for some inspiring photos, facts and videos to keep you uplifted over the coming weeks.
